Manhattan, NY (March 16, 2023) – A traffic collision on the lower level of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge was reported to have resulted in injuries at the scene. The collision, which involved two or more vehicles, took place on Thursday morning, March 16th, at approximately 8:40 a.m.
Emergency dispatchers sent police and paramedics to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident on the lower level of the bridge following a call concerning a crash. Upon arrival, crews worked to locate any injured victims and clear the area.
EMTs assisted at least one person who sustained injuries in the crash. Those who needed further assistance were taken to local medical centers for additional treatment. No details have been provided regarding the number of victims or the seriousness of their injuries.
Law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Updates will be provided when they are made available.
