Manhattan, NY (May 21, 2023) – On May 21, officers with the New York Police Department in New York Fire Department responded to the scene of an automobile accident that took place on the Lower East Side of Manhattan that ended in injuries.
The accident was reported at around 6:07 a.m.
Reports from authorities indicate that two vehicles collided on the Williamsburg Bridge in the area near Franklin D Roosevelt Drive. As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles flipped over before catching on fire.
One person was injured as a result of the crash. Paramedics responded to the scene to care for the injured victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital for further medical care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
