Manhattan, NY (July 5, 2023) – The New York Police Department, New York Fire Department, and emergency medical services were all requested to provide help at the scene of a crash in the Washington Heights neighborhood.
At approximately 3:50 p.m. on July 4, a collision between vehicles blocked the Cross Bronx Expressway in the area near Exit 1. Emergency officials worked quickly to remove the debris and damaged vehicles from the scene.
Injuries were confirmed as a result of the accident. At least one person was transported to a local hospital, where they underwent emergency medical treatment.
The New York Police Department is investigating the crash.
