Manhattan, NY (February 23, 2023) – A pedestrian was left injured after being struck by a bicycle rider in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Manhattan. The incident happened at the intersection of East 52nd Street and 2nd Avenue on Thursday morning, February 23rd.
Authorities say that at around 10:52 a.m., an unidentified pedestrian entered the intersection where a cyclist collided with them for uncertain reasons. Nearby witnesses alerted 911, and EMS units were dispatched to the scene.
Medical technicians provided necessary treatment to the injured pedestrian at the crash site and then transported the victim to a local Medical Center. The victim arrived at the hospital to receive urgent care and currently remains in an unspecified condition.
