Manhattan, NY (January 7, 2023) – A pedestrian was injured in Central Park, Manhattan. The incident was reported to officials in the area on the evening of January 6.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., crews were sent to the scene on 81s Street at the Museum of Natural History Station. Firefighters rendered aid to an injured individual who had been struck by a train.
Fire crews removed power from the train tracks during their efforts to medically assist the injured victim. The individual’s identity has not been reported as authorities are still investigating the details of the incident.
No word on the extent of the injuries suffered by the pedestrian has been reported.
