Marcy, NY (July 8, 2023) – A car accident happened in Marcy on the morning of July 3 that ended in injuries. Reports say the collision took place at around 9:00 a.m.
Several responders went to the site of the collision located on New York State Route 49 East under the River Road Bridge shortly after the crash happened. That section of the roadway was closed for some time while emergency crews worked at the scene.
A Nissan Frontier pickup truck became stuck on the center divider with extensive damage due to the accident. State Police report that the male driver was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with injuries.
New York State Troopers, along with the Stittville Fire Department, were observed at the scene rendering aid. Currently, the cause of the accident has not been reported at this time.
Authorities in Marcy continue to investigate the details of the accident. We hope for the full recovery of the injured victim.
