Marietta, GA (September 18, 2023) – On Sunday morning, two individuals suffered injuries after a crash on I-285 East near its junction with I-75 North.
Around 8 a.m., a 59-year-old Tarrant, Alabama, man drove a grey 2003 Dodge Ram on I-285 East.
Nearby, an unoccupied 2017 Ram 5500 wrecker and a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado were parked on the ramp’s shoulder.
The Dodge took a curve too fast and swerved counter-clockwise.
After overcorrecting, the vehicle rotated clockwise, hitting two pedestrians.
It eventually stopped uncontrollably.
One victim, 36, is in serious condition at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Another, aged 23, is stable at Wellstar.
The Dodge’s driver declined hospitalization.
The investigation is still ongoing.
