Marietta, GA (May 12, 2023) – A serious injury accident occurred on southbound Interstate 75 at North Marietta Parkway earlier this week, and the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) section of the Marietta Police Department is now investigating.
On Tuesday at around 11:25 p.m., officers reported to the southbound side of I-75. Reports from the site indicate that a 24-year-old man was a passenger in a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 21-year-old man. The Chevrolet lost control and crashed into a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by a 30-year-old woman.
Following the first collision, both the Chevrolet and the Nissan Altima went off the road and collided with a railing. Both men in the Silverado were brought to the emergency room at WellStar Kennestone, although one remains in critical condition. The Altima’s driver was reportedly treated at the scene.
No more details have been disclosed while the accident is still being investigated.
