Marion, MO (November 21, 2023) – A significant multi-vehicle accident occurred on HWY 6, three miles west of Taylor, on Monday, November 20, at 3:24 PM. The collision involved three vehicles: a 2003 Toyota Highlander driven by 19-year-old Michael V. Rennols from Maywood, MO; a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 19-year-old Zoe R. McGrew from Quincy, IL; and a 2020 Kia Rio driven by 47-year-old Kai R. Peters from La Belle, MO.
McGrew, attempting to turn, was hit by Rennols’ Highlander. The Highlander then collided with Peters’ Rio in the eastbound lane. McGrew sustained moderate injuries, and Peters suffered serious injuries. Both were transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
TPR Smith led the investigation with assistance from MSGT Koch, CPL Tappendorf, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Palmyra Fire Department, Lewis County Ambulance, and Marion County Ambulance. The investigation into this incident continues.
