Matthews, NC (November 27, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident occurred near E. John St and Interstate 485 in Matthews, North Carolina, after 1:00 PM on November 26. According to MEDIC, the pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle. The Matthews Police Department responded to the scene and closed the outer loop of I-485 near E. John Street.
