Mayfield, KY (March 15, 2025) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Friday afternoon, March 14, along US-45 North in front of the Save A Lot.
According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m. when 25-year-old Javion Johnson of Mayfield was driving through the area with two passengers. Authorities determined that Johnson was crossing over from the Save A Lot parking lot toward the southbound side of US-45 North when he failed to see a pedestrian, identified as 60-year-old Ethaniel Faughn, also of Mayfield, crossing the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported Faughn to a local hospital for treatment of incapacitating injuries. Officials have not yet provided an update on his condition.
During the investigation, law enforcement discovered that Johnson’s driver’s license had been suspended due to previous DUI convictions. Further evaluation revealed that Johnson was under the influence of substances at the time of the crash. He was subsequently arrested and is now facing multiple charges.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
