McCurtain County, OK – Fatal Collision on US-70 and Tyler Rd Involves Two Vehicles

McCurtain County, OK (November 20, 2023) – A tragic accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, November 18, around 12:50 P.M. at US-70 and Tyler Rd in McCurtain County. A 2006 Ford F250, driven by 49-year-old Jerry McClure, collided with a 2009 Dodge Journey operated by 22-year-old Bristina Colbert.

Investigations revealed McClure, at a stop sign on Tyler Rd, failed to yield and entered US-70, striking Colbert’s vehicle. Colbert was pronounced dead at the scene due to the collision’s impact.

McClure sustained trunk internal injuries and is in stable condition at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. The incident is under further investigation.
