McFarland, CA (September 14, 2023) – A tragic accident occurred on Highway 99, south of Sherwood Avenue on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Andrea Marie Fanning, 23, stopped her 2014 Chevrolet with lights off for unclear reasons.
A 43-year-old woman, driving a 2019 GMC at 65-70 mph, failed to spot Fanning’s car and collided from behind.
The force pushed both cars onto the shoulder.
Sadly, Fanning died at the crash site.
The investigation is still ongoing.
