Meade County, KY – Fatal Collision on KY-1692 Involves Two Vehicles

Meade County, KY (January 3, 2024) – A devastating two-vehicle collision claimed the life of one individual on Monday, December 4, in Meade County. The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the 3100 block of KY-1692. Kentucky State Police, alongside the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene.

When he unexpectedly veered across the center line, Gregory Brown, 62, was driving a Chevrolet Malibu northbound. He collided head-on with a southbound Ford F-150 driven by Jeffrey Cox, 52. Cox sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received immediate hospital treatment. Tragically, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene by the Meade County Coroner’s Office. The incident led to the closure of the road for extensive crash reconstruction. 

Investigations into the specific causes of this fatal accident are ongoing.
