Miami-Dade, FL (June 15, 2020) – This past Saturday morning, a police officer was injured in a drunk driving collision that occurred on a roadway in Miami-Dade.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. when an unidentified driver struck a police officer who was traveling on North West 12th Street near the exit ramp for Florida’s turnpike. The officer, who also remains unidentified at this time, was transported by medical professionals to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
The unidentified male driver was later determined to be intoxicated during the collision and was treated for minor injuries at the scene of the accident. He was later arrested for driving under the influence following a police investigation that is currently ongoing.
