Middletown, CT (March 12, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed, and another person sustained injuries following a crash on Washington Street late Tuesday night.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near High Street, close to Wesleyan University, just before 10 p.m. Upon arrival, authorities found one victim suffering from serious injuries. They were transported to a nearby hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
A second individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported for medical treatment.
According to investigators, a Toyota was traveling in the right lane of Washington Street when it struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Officials closed the roadway for several hours while police conducted an initial investigation, but the area has since reopened.
