Midway, GA – Fatal Crash on I-95

Midway, GA (December 25, 2020) – A fatal crash took place on Friday, December 25th in Liberty County.

State police reported that the driver of a Ford Mustang was traveling along Interstate 95 at speeds of well over 100 miles per hour when police attempted to pull the vehicle over.  

When the driver failed to pull over, troopers used their vehicle to bring the speeding car to a stop, causing the Mustang to collide with a utility pole and then flip over.  

The Mustang’s passenger was ejected and the driver was killed during the crash.  

The trooper also sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
