Milan, MO (November 27, 2023) – A severe crash on Hwy 6, two miles east of Milan, resulted in serious injuries on Saturday, November 26. The collision, involving a 2014 Ford Escape and a 2019 Ram 1500, occurred at 8:30 AM.
Cesar A. Anicama-Jorges, 37, from Kirksville, MO, driving the Ford Escape, lost control on the snowy road. His vehicle slid into the path of the Ram 1500, driven by Troy D. Mihalevich, 55, also from Kirksville. The head-on collision caused total damage to both vehicles.
Anicama-Jorges sustained serious injuries, while Mihalevich suffered moderate injuries. Both were wearing safety devices. They were transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center by Sullivan County Ambulance.
The investigation by CPL Pearson, with assistance from TPR Wood, Milan Fire Department, and Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, is ongoing.
