Monroe, WI (September 18, 2023) – A crash on Saturday night, September 16, 2023, near Monroe claimed one life and injured eight others.
Around 10 p.m., a Ford Focus heading north on Highway N ignored a stop sign at Highway 81’s intersection.
The Focus struck an eastbound GMC pickup, hitting a westbound Subaru sedan.
The Subaru’s driver, a Marshfield resident, died at the scene, confirmed by the Green County Coroner’s Office.
His name remains undisclosed until family notification.
The other involved vehicles had multiple occupants, leading to the injury count.
The investigation is still ongoing.
