Montgomery County, MD (Monday, September 18, 2023) – In the early hours of Monday morning, a traffic accident at the intersection of Colesville Road (US-29) and University Boulevard (MD-193) in Montgomery County led to the temporary closure of several northbound lanes.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, the collision occurred when a vehicle struck a Pepco electric pole, necessitating the closure to address the damage and ensure public safety.

The incident resulted in traffic delays in the area as authorities responded to the scene and worked to clear the roadway.

The crash investigation is ongoing as authorities determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
