Montgomery County, MD (January 24, 2023) – A traffic accident took place in Montgomery County on Sunday evening that resulted in injuries. At around 11:05 p.m., on January 22, officers with the Montgomery County Police Department assisted firefighters with the Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service at the scene of a traffic crash that had taken place on Columbia Pike.
Crash investigations conducted by the Montgomery County Police Department have determined that a vehicle collision blocked the southbound side of Columbia Pike in the area of New Hampshire Avenue.
The incident caused delays that extended along Columbia Pike between New Hampshire Avenue and Prelude Drive. At least one vehicle involved in the crash rolled over.
The MCFRSEMS responded to the scene of the crash to provide treatment to the injured victims.
At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The police department in Montgomery County is currently investigating the crash.
