Montgomery County, VA – I-81 Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Injuries

Montgomery County, VA (September 28, 2020) – An auto accident took place on an interstate in Montgomery County involving a tractor-trailer this past Friday afternoon. 

The accident took place before 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, September 25 when a tractor-trailer was involved in a collision on I-81 near mile marker 124.5. The contributing factors of the crash have yet to be determined by local police. 

Paramedics, police, and fire crews were dispatched to the accident scene in order to render aid to those injured, although it remains unclear how many people required emergency medical aid. Whether or not anyone required transportation to the hospital by ambulance also remains undetermined at this time. 

The wreck had the north left lane and right-hand shoulder closed for a period of time following the incident while first responders worked to clear the crash from the roadway. 

No further information has been provided at this time.
