Morganza, MD (December 9, 2024) – A serious motor vehicle collision occurred Monday morning near Chopticon High School at 25390 Colton Point Rd. The crash, reported at approximately 7:50 a.m., involved two vehicles in a head-on collision, leaving one vehicle in the roadway and the other in a nearby field.
Emergency units from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, including ST2, M18, SQ1, SQ2, A299, A198, ST29, and FDC, responded to the scene. Chief 1A arrived promptly and coordinated rescue efforts. Two individuals were assessed for injuries and transported for medical evaluation.
Crews worked diligently to clear the site and ensure the safety of other motorists. Units from Squad 2 and Engine 23 cleared the scene following the completion of rescue operations.
