Mount Shasta, CA (September 19, 2023) – On Sunday, September 17, 2023, a single-vehicle crash occurred at 5:31 p.m. on I-5 just south of Exit 89.
CHP arrived promptly at the scene.
The initial report of no injuries changed to injuries by CHP.
A black Ford F150 was found on the right shoulder with damaged tires.
A 20-foot travel trailer remained intact.
The roadway was cleared, but traffic was momentarily halted.
Witnesses reported the vehicle was driving recklessly before the crash.
Ambulances had to take alternative routes due to traffic congestion.
The investigation is still ongoing.
