Mt Vernon, NY (March 18, 2023) – Responders were dispatched to the scene of an accident on a roadway in Mt Vernon on Saturday, March 18. At approximately 6:00 p.m., vehicles crashed on the Hutchinson River Parkway under unclear circumstances.
Police, EMS, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway near East Lincoln Avenue in order to help those involved.
How the collision took place remains under local police investigation at this time.
Injured victims were rendered aid at the scene before being transported to area hospitals for further care. The identities of those involved have not currently been reported.
Delays in traffic were observed while emergency crews worked in the area.
Traffic was stopped back to Boston Post Road for some time after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
