Myakka City, FL – Fatal Single Vehicle Crash Claims Lives of Two Teenagers

Myakka City, FL (July 17, 2023) – On Saturday, July 15, 2023, the Florida Highway Patrol received a report of a fatal car accident that claimed the lives of two people.

A Hyundai SUV headed west on State Road 62 lost control when the driver attempted to navigate through a puddle.

The SUV lost control and slammed into a utility pole made of concrete.

The adult driver and passenger were seriously hurt and taken to Blake Medical Center.

Two young passengers, ages 11 and 15, were tragically killed in the crash.

Authorities are currently investigating the crash’s cause.
