Myersville, MD (March 18, 2023) – On March 16, the police and firefighters responded to the scene of an accident that took place near the Washington County line.
According to reports from the Maryland State Police, at around 3:00 p.m. on March 16, a Nissan Sentra and a second vehicle collided head-on while traveling on US Route 40 between Myersville in the Washington County line.
The second vehicle caught on fire as a result of the crash. The Nissan suffered significant front-end damage.
Crews with the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services arrived at the scene and were able to take control of the fire within minutes.
Two people involved in the crash were fatally injured.
The state police are currently investigating the accident.
