Nacogdoches County, TX ( July 14, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash.
It occurred on July 12th, 2023, on U.S. Highway 59, about three miles south of Garrison.

The Dodge’s driver was also transported to a Tyler hospital for treatment.
At the same time, a passenger in the Dodge was ejected during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene by a Nacogdoches County Justice of the Peace.
The identities of the driver and passenger are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
The crash investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available.
