Las Vegas, NV (February 23, 2020) – A fatal accident took place in downtown Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon, February 22nd. Sometime before 5 p.m., a woman was reportedly struck by a taxi cab while crossing at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard (NV-159) and Grand Central Parkway. The woman was using a crosswalk when the cab ran a red light, striking her as she attempted to cross.
The woman was taken to the University Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased party is currently waiting on confirmation from next of kin. No charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation into the accident is being handled by local law enforcement.
