Queens, NY – Fatal Pedestrian Accident at 60-90 Eliot Ave Car Wash

Queens, NY (August 17, 2019) – It has been confirmed that a pedestrian lost her life in a fatal pedestrian accident at 60-90 Eliot Avenue in Queens when she was washing her vehicle at the gas station.

The woman, identified only as a 51-year-old, was washing the vehicle, a 2019 Jeep, with her partner, a 50-year-old man. When they were done, they moved their vehicle so that they could dry it.

The woman got out of the Jeep to start drying but did not put it in park and it started to roll. Her partner got inside the Jeep and quickly attempted to get it to stop moving, but instead of hitting the brakes, he hit the gas and struck the woman.

The woman suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where she was tragically pronounced deceased.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.

Our sincerest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of the woman whose life was taken in this accident.
