Las Vegas, NV (July 13, 2020) – On Saturday night, July 11, a man in a motorized wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing at an intersection in Las Vegas. The accident occurred at around 10:11 p.m. at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Flamingo Road. The victim was identified as a 61-year-old man.
The man was hit by a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500, causing him to be thrown from the roadway. He was transported to University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities believe that the driver of the Dodge, Kevin Robinson, 53, may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Robinson was charged with three counts: driving under influence above the legal limit resulting in death and operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle.
Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
