Las Vegas, NV (August 21, 2020) – A deadly motorcycle crash in the northeast valley of Las Vegas left one dead and another injured on Wednesday, August 19, at the intersection of N. Nellis Boulevard and E. Washington Avenue.
The crash occurred at around 8:30 p.m. that evening and involved three vehicles and a motorcycle. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealed that a 2020 Kawasaki ZX6 motorcycle was traveling southbound on N. Nellis Boulevard approaching a traffic signal at the time of the accident. A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was reportedly traveling behind the motorcycle, and a 2020 Nissan Rogue was traveling north on the roadway.
The Nissan reportedly entered the intersection and made a left turn in front of the path of the motorcyclist. The motorcycle and the Nissan collided, causing the rider to be ejected. The Chevrolet then crashed into the Nissan.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. The driver of the Nissan was taken to Sunrise Hospital for treatment. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
