Las Vegas, NV (July 21, 2020) – A teenage girl was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, July 19. Local law enforcement officials and emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident at around 9:19 p.m. Initial reports revealed that the accident occurred at the intersection of NV-159 (Charleston Boulevard) and Sky Vista Drive.
According to reports from law enforcement officials, two adults and two juveniles were reportedly in the desert in the northern area of Charleston Boulevard. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the two juveniles attempted to run to the southern area of NV-159 when one was struck by a westbound Audi on the roadway.
The victim was only identified as a 15-year-old girl. The injured pedestrian was transported from the scene to UMC Children’s Hospital for the treatment of critical injuries. Reports later confirmed that the girl was pronounced dead at the medical facility.
The driver of the Audi remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The driver showed no signs of impairment.
