Las Vegas, NV (August 15, 2020) – Three people lost their lives after a fiery collision in Las Vegas on Thursday morning, August 13. The collision reportedly took place on Interstate 15 near the US-95 northbound ramp at around 11:15 a.m.
The accident reportedly involved two vehicles, a sedan and a Ford pickup truck. Initial reports revealed that a northbound sedan towing an off-road vehicle made an unsafe lane change on the highway at the time of the accident The sedan then struck an impact attenuator before colliding with the Ford. The impact caused both vehicles to hit the right wall before going over the barricade.
Witnesses from the scene told authorities that the sedan was reportedly driving erratically and crossing divider lines on the interstate at the time of the crash. The three deceased parties were later found inside the sedan by responding officials. At this time, the ages and identities of the occupants are still unknown.
The Ford fell on top of the sedan, killing the driver of the sedan before quickly bursting into flames. The occupants of the pickup were able to escape before the vehicle caught fire.
