Las Vegas, NV (August 23, 2020) – A wrong-way collision in the western Las Vegas valley left one woman injured and others injured on Friday evening, August 21. The collision reportedly occurred near the intersection of Interstate 215 and W. Tropicana Avenue and involved multiple vehicles.

According to local sources, a woman driving a blue Mazda was traveling north in the southbound lanes of County Road 215. A Ford F-250 pickup truck traveling south on the highway collided with the Mazda, causing the Ford to leave the roadway and strike a concrete barrier. The Mazda began to spin-out along multiple lanes on I-215 SB and was struck in the driver’s side by a southbound Hyundai. A BMW proceeded to collide with a tire that fell off the Mazda.

Responding paramedics pronounced the driver of the Mazda dead at the scene. Three occupants of the Hyundai and one in the Ford were transported to University Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information is known at this time.
