Mt Charleston, NV – Two Killed in Rollover at Kyle Canyon Rd & Echo Rd

Mt Charleston, NV (August 23, 2020) – Two people were reportedly killed after their vehicle went down in an embankment in the Mt. Charleston area early on Saturday morning, August 22. The accident reportedly occurred near the intersection of Kyle Canyon Road and Echo Road, near the Mount Charleston Lodge, at around 5:40 a.m. 

Local sources reported that a black Nissan Altima containing five passengers failed to navigate to curve while traveling west on Kyle Canyon Road. The vehicle continued straight, and the front of the vehicle struck a guardrail before fell into the embankment. The Nissan crashed into a large tree stump and overturned. 

A man was ejected from the vehicle. He and the woman driving the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The three other occupants were taken to the University Medical Center Trauma Unit for treatment. Two were airlifted and another was transported by ambulance. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
