Paradise, NV (July 30, 2020) – A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries following a collision in Paradise on Tuesday, July 28. Authorities reported that the accident took place near the intersection of W. Russell Road and S. Valley View Boulevard at around 1:30 p.m. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the 32-year-old motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after his bike collided with a sport utility vehicle.
The SUV reportedly turned into the path of the motorcyclist. The injured victim was reportedly traveling on a Honda CBR 1000 RR northbound when he collided with a 2011 Ford Edge that was traveling in the opposite direction on the roadway. The SUV reportedly was attempting to make a turn into the parking lot of an industrial complex.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center for treatment. He was reportedly in critical condition. The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
