Nevada High-Speed Accidents
When drivers choose to speed, they are placing everyone on the road in danger. No one is safe, not even the driver. Our busy lives may place stress on us to get where we are going faster. This means that we may choose to speed. After all, it is completely harmless, right? Actually, that could not be further from reality, as speeding can be dangerous even under unassuming circumstances. Even driving the speed limit can be dangerous if roadway conditions are hazardous, such as a heavy storm of snow on the road.
Speeding has been involved in more than one-third of deadly crashes across the country for the past two decades. There were 9,378 reported roadway fatalities caused by speeding drivers in the United States in just 2018. That is an average of 25 people losing their lives daily in crashes involving speeding motorists. That year, high-speed crashes were the cause of nearly 26% of reported collisions resulting in fatal injuries.
