New Knoxville, OH (September 19, 2023) – On Sunday, September 17, 2023, a collision occurred around 12:04 p.m. at the crossroads of US 127 and State Route 705.

Gurpret Singh (21) from Indianapolis drove a 2022 Kenworth tractor-trailer west on State Route 705 and didn’t stop at the intersection.

A southbound 2005 Chevy Trail Blazer on US 127, piloted by Mark Prueter (49) of New Knoxville, struck the semi.

Mark Prueter and his passengers, Robert Prueter (75) and Barbara Prueter (75), received treatment at St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

Authorities cited Singh, who remained unharmed, for not yielding the right-of-way.

The investigation is still ongoing.
