Albuquerque, NM (June 9, 2020) – Police in Albuquerque believe that a pedestrian was intentionally struck and killed by a vehicle at Coronado Park on Monday afternoon, June 8th. The incident was reported near Third Street at around 3:00 p.m.
Officials said that two people were possibly engaged in an altercation when the suspect entered a vehicle and struck the victim. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to the University of New Mexico Hospital. The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later.
At this time, authorities are continuing to investigate the events that led to this incident. No further details were reported.
