San Ysidro, NM – Cody Muchmore Killed & Two Injured in Collision on US-550

San Ysidro, NM (November 17, 2020) – According to authorities, one man was killed and two others were hospitalized following a two-car accident in the area of San Ysidro. It happened on Saturday, November 14th along U.S. Route 550.

Law enforcement officials say that Jemez Pueblo, 26, was driving a 2018 Kia northbound when his vehicle crossed over the centerline for unknown reasons. He collided head-on with a southbound 2016 Subaru being operated by Cody Muchmore, 27.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene where they pronounced Muchmore deceased due to his injuries. Both Pueblo and a 28-year-old female passenger of the Subaru suffered various injuries. They were transported to a local hospital but there has been no information reported concerning their present conditions.

Police officials say that Pueblo is facing charges but no further details have been made available. The events that led to this incident are under investigation.
