Taos County, NM (November 21, 2020) – An automobile accident reported on Saturday in Taos County claimed the life of one man. At approximately 6 p.m., on November 14, the New Mexico State Police were called to the site of a crash on US Highway 285.
Reports show that 43-year-old Destry Walsh was traveling on a dark stretch of US Highway 285 during the early evening hours. For unknown reasons, a passing vehicle struck Walsh.
The driver of the vehicle, who was not injured, remained at the scene and called for assistance. When police arrived at the scene, they pronounced the man deceased.
At this time, the state police are investigating the accident.
