New Rochelle, NY (March 19, 2025) – A 73-year-old woman lost her life Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Pinebrook Boulevard, according to authorities.
The New Rochelle Police Department reported that the crash occurred just before 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of Pinebrook Boulevard and Amherst Drive. The victim was walking northbound when she was hit by a northbound vehicle driven by a 23-year-old woman.
Emergency responders from the New Rochelle Fire Department and ambulance services arrived at the scene and provided immediate medical aid. The woman was then transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police have not announced any criminal charges at this time. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
