Once the insurance provider pays your claim, you will most likely discover that it is not enough to cover your medical bills, lost income, and other damages associated with your accident.

After being injured in a car accident, you should never speculate about the cause. Anything you say to responding officers or another injured party about who or what was at fault could adversely affect the amount of compensation you receive.

If you sustained damages beyond what your insurance will cover, it is important to establish who was liable and then file a personal injury suit against the person or persons

After a New York car accident, you should always seek immediate medical care for your injuries, even if you think it’s unnecessary. Failing to do so will allow the respondent’s defense team to question the true source of your injuries. A lack of medical treatment could also cause your injuries to worsen in the days or weeks to come.

Car accidents can be caused by a lot of things like driver negligence, poorly maintained roadways, improper repairs, and defective components or vehicles. It is difficult to correctly identify the exact cause of an accident right after it happens. Due to the numerous factors that come into play, a thorough investigation is needed to understand what really happened.
