New York City, NY – Angel Rodriguez-Albuquerque Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Amsterdam Ave near W 106 St

New York City, NY (July 14, 2023) – The New York Police Department confirmed that 45-year-old José Naula Remache is facing charges for “motor vehicle failure to yield to pedestrian” following a fatal crash that occurred in New York City on Wednesday, July 12.

Crash investigations indicate that at approximately 3:45 p.m., a male pedestrian was struck by a 2017 Dodge Ram Van on Amsterdam Avenue near West 106 Street.

The pedestrian, identified as 74-year-old Angel Rodriguez Albuquerque, was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital with head trauma and lacerations. Authorities confirmed that he passed away from his injuries after arriving.

At this time, the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
