Amherst, NY – Construction Worker Pinned by Vehicle at Kensington Ave & Lamarck Dr

Amherst, NY (September 19, 2019) – Police in the town of Amherst were alerted to a serious injury accident after a construction worker was pinned by a vehicle on Thursday morning, September 19th. The incident took place at approximately 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of Kensington Avenue and Lamarck Drive.

According to authorities, the construction worker, a 56-year-old Niagara Falls man was standing or working in the area when a collision occurred. A 19-year-old woman from East Aurora was traveling north along Lamarck Drive when she collided with a vehicle being operated by a 25-year-old man from Cheektowaga.

The woman’s vehicle subsequently struck the construction worker, pinning him up against a parked dump truck. EMS and fire department officials arrived at the scene where they attended to the victim. He was transported to Erie County Medical Center to be treated for lower leg injuries.

The victims’ condition is considered non-life-threatening. The incident is under investigation.
