Buffalo, NY (October 21, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and seriously injured by a police car in the city of Buffalo on Friday evening, October 19th. According to authorities, the collision happened at the intersection of Grant Street and Potomac Avenue.
A Buffalo police officer was responding to a call for assistance with another officer at a traffic stop when the police cruiser collided with a bicyclist. Emergency medical responders were immediately dispatched to the scene where they transported the victim to Erie County Medical Center. The victim is currently listed in critical condition.
The investigation is being led by the Accident Investigation Unit along with Internal Affairs. No further information was reported.
