Deerpark, NY (September 27, 2019) – According to police in the town of Deerpark, two maintenance workers suffered injuries at Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School while working on a hot water heater Thursday afternoon, September 26th. The incident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. inside the school located on Route 209.
The two workers were installing a hot water heater when they were sprayed with water that was scalding hot. The school nurse initially provided treatment after the incident but both victims were ultimately taken to a nearby emergency room.
Both workers sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident which is currently under investigation.
