Flushing, NY (June 24, 2020) – At approximately 9:45 p.m., on June 23, the New York Fire Department responded to a major fire incident at 94-26 34th Road.
Reports from FDNY show that a major fire broke out on the second floor of the building. The fire subsequently spread through other apartments in the building. Crews spent roughly 45-minutes at the scene battling the blaze before confirming that the fire was under control.
A total of five people were hospitalized with injuries from this fire. One firefighter and three residents were transported to local hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. The fifth victim was hospitalized with serious injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
