Frankfort, NY (May 9, 2020) – Around 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning, May 7, a DUI accident took place on the New York State Thruway.
Troopers received the call when there were numerous reports about a van parked in the middle of the eastbound lanes of the Thruway. The van driver was identified as 43-year-old Jamie Davis of Rome.
Police confirmed that a tractor-trailer was being driven by a 73-year-old man named Joseph Maxwell. His truck struck the van from behind. A second truck, driven by 65-year-old Gary Roe, struck the back of the first tractor-trailer.

Police confirmed that Davis was drunk at the time of the collision and had been driving on a suspended license. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and other related citations.
Paramedics assisted injured victims at the scene.
No further details have been provided but the investigation continues.
